Tom Bowers is a Watkinsville native with 15 years of experience in the medical field. His professional experience includes work in the emergency department, long-term acute care hospital, hospice, and general medical settings. He has also done charitable medical work in the Dominican Republic.
Tom graduated with a degree in social work from The University of Georgia, and went on to earn a Master’s degree in social work, a nursing degree to become a licensed RN, and then graduated with honors from the University of North Georgia while earning his Master’s degree in Science to become a Family Nurse Practitioner.
He is a member of the honor society of Phi Kappa Phi as well as the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
Tom is delighted to be working with Dr. Bond and is excited to have the opportunity to synthesize his education and experiences into his work as a Nurse Practitioner on the TMB Medical Team.
Tom has been married to Kim Bowers since 1991. Together they have a daughter attending Young Harris College and a son attending Oconee Middle School.
